Halo: M7 Sub-Machine Gun

The M7 sub-machine gun is a 5x23mm caseless gun with a side loading feed tray that exceptionally few other weapons share. The M7 features a open-bolt rotating breech that feeds from a 48 round gun powered disposable magazine. Lacking an ejection port, the M7 is not prone to malfunctions from foreign materials and enjoys a good record of reliability, albeit the cost of heat management.

A well conceived futuristic sub-machine gun, the M7 takes all the best attributes from the FN P90, HK G11 and the HK MP7 and combine them to make this unique design. A lot of futuristic movies and games tend to recycle the sub-machine gun profile and add on a bulky layer of "futuristic" detail, which to me retracts from the futuristic concept. The M7's sleek design and ergonomics on the other hand enhances the overall appearance.

  1. Would it be at all possible to place the internals of say an airsoft electric G18 inside this? That would be literally awesome

  2. I'm not sure, parts of the M7 are solid resin, I suppose you could get a dremel and hollow the insides out, but I'm not sure where you would stick the magazine?
